Should be in the garden!

Well, quite a good day in Melbourne to do all the things I needed to in the garden today. Put in all the plants I bought last weekend that are still sitting in pots, paint the rest of our new picket fence that is fast deteriorating with out paint to protect it, mow the lawn and general tidy up... but instead I have made another tutu for my winter range and dragged "Little Miss" outside to pose. I can tell you she was not happy and I struggled to find a photo without her scowling in it but I was on a roll and wanted to get this done. Hope you all had a good weekend of crafting too!!!

My creative space...

At the moment I am still working on new colour schemes to add to my winter range, definitely not enough hours in the day, still orders to finish too...

The complete outfit!

Here's a shot of "little miss" in the first of my new winter range. Had some trouble convincing her to pop it on when it's 30 degrees but she should learn early that we women have to suffer for our fashion!!

Quite happy with the result, just wonder whether black will be a little bit too out there for most people, as much as I love it, most people like to stick with the pink thing! Maybe I need to call it the "Twilight" skirt and I'll sell millions. Stay tuned, more colours to come!!!!

PS This was the perfect excuse to buy "Little miss" a new pair of tan boots for winter, just wish I could get them in my size!!

Time to think about winter...

I decided that although girls will always love pink etc., that I wanted to start thinking about a range of Tutu's that would be more winter friendly. I picture these worn with leggings or woollen tights and long boots and this is the first in the range. More to come soon!

Time to make use of what I had!

If you're like me, you have way more fabric than time to sew it all. I am forever seeing gorgeous new ones that I love and saying to myself "I'm just going to buy a meter and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it will come to me!" So I thought it was high time to come up with a way to try and use up some remnants of what I already have rather than going out and buying more. This was just one of the ideas I came up with and for a change, it's not pink, YEAH!!!

Baby Blankets, something different!

I have finally gotten around to making this baby blanket for my Madeit store. After buying the fabric some time ago with this in mind, it has sat in my fabric pile just waiting to be crafted and now it is done! Yeh, a small feeling of accomplishment, one down, many, many more idea's to go. I hope someone things it will be a nice gift for a new little soul, if not, my daughter quite likes the soft feel of it....
It was my little bro's birthday, and although he hates desert's, everyone else in my family loves them so a cake was in order. I have just recently delved into the world of "The Sponge" and have so much respect for all the women who have whipped them up in the past without me having a serious appreciation of the science involved. This is my second only sponge, tasted very light but I have to say, not as good as my first attempt... what did I do differently, why didn't it rise as much, I have a feeling it's going to be a LOVE/HATE relationship, ever evolving!!!
Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE hope we didn't embarass you too much. 40 is the new 20, that's my motto!

New Listings on Madeit...

Today I have been madly trying to get some orders done that need my attention, but I have also had the urge to get some new items onto my store as it's been quite some time since I have been able to get a new item up and running, so finally here are some of my recent ideas!! I'm obviously feeling the pink thing though, wonder what's up with that?
